Patch Notes #1

Hey everyone!

We’re absolutely overwhelmed by the amazing reception Escape from Ever After has received since launch! Being at the top of Steam’s “New & Trending” for almost 2 full days now is just surreal. And we really appreciate all the reviews we’ve gotten so far, thank you to everyone who left one!

The discussions have also been incredible to see, and we’re constantly reading every piece of feedback you share with us.

Since release, we’ve been hard at work pushing several updates to mainly address bugs and some rare crashes that have been encountered. Here’s what we’ve fixed so far:


Bugfixes:

  • Fix rare crash when initiating battle with egg enemy in Dungeon

  • Fix enemy items duplicating when running away from battle

  • Fix visual glitches in Enchanted Woods

  • Fix softlock when interacting with Telepager menu too quickly

  • Fix softlock caused by a bomb plant explosion and battle triggering at the same time

  • Fix bestiary achievement triggering when it shouldn’t

  • Fix collision bug in Happy Howl Hollow that allowed players out of bounds

  • Fix crash that can happen when changing partners while one is recovering

  • Fix Beatrice’s emails showing up after completing quest

Improvements:

  • Extra hint clarification in Enchanted Woods musical maze puzzle

  • Tinder’s Blazing Whirlwind ability can now also be controlled with the d-pad

Localization:

  • In Chinese translation, fix discrepancies between items in Pinocchio’s Birthday Party sidequest

  • General updates and improvements to Portuguese translation


In the coming days, we are going to focus more on quality of life updates to address some of the common pieces of feedback we’ve been reading.
