Hytale Gets New Update for January 2026

Hytale has officially rolled out its first major update following the game’s long-awaited early access release, introducing dinosaurs alongside a suite of other changes. The launch of the open-world survival game from developer Hypixel Studios has been one of the biggest stories in gaming throughout recent months, owing to its rocky development cycle. Hypixel first began development on Hytale back in 2015, with the game eventually being backed and even purchased by Riot Games in 2020 before ultimately being canceled in June 2025. However, Hytale‘s story did not end with the disappointing news of its cancellation.
